David Richardson dc6bebd7eb AppKit: Add magnification support to CPScrollView and zoom controls to TextEditor
CPScrollView previously lacked magnification support, preventing document
zooming and leaving view scaling infrastructure without practical test coverage.
Additionally, views resetting to a 1.0 scale retained stale CSS transform properties,
and legacy cibs compiled via nib2cib omitted explicit magnification limits,
breaking zoom functionality in older archives.

* AppKit/CPScrollView.j:
  - Implement magnification methods and properties (`magnification`, `setMagnification:`, `setMagnification:centeredAtPoint:`, `allowsMagnification`, `minMagnification`, and `maxMagnification`) modelled on NSScrollView, with keyed archiving.
  - Scale clip view bounds and synchronize resizing document view widths.
  - Define standard Cocoa default limits (0.25 and 4.0) as named constants.
  - Implement robust decoding validation to assign default limits to unset or invalid archive values and reject non-positive magnification inputs, ensuring full compatibility with legacy cibs.

* AppKit/CPView.j:
  - Remove stale CSS scale styling when a view's scale factor returns to 1.0.

* Tests/AppKit/CPScrollViewTest.j:
  - Add comprehensive unit tests covering magnification scaling, archiving, and fallback decoding for unconfigured limits.

* Tests/Manual/TextEditor/DocumentWindowController.j:
  - Implement zoom action handlers (`zoomToLevel:`, `zoomToActualSize:`, `zoomIn:`, and `zoomOut:`) driven by menu item tag values.

* Tests/Manual/TextEditor/Resources/MainMenu.xib, MainMenu.cib:
  - Add View menu options for Actual Size, Zoom In, Zoom Out, and explicit Zoom Levels (25% to 200%).

* Tests/Manual/TextEditor/WORKLIST.md:
  - Mark zoom functionality as tested; log discovered scaling edge cases as open items.

CPScrollView and TextEditor now support robust document magnification from 25% to 200%, validating core view scaling mechanics.

David Richardson 8e4742a250 AppKit: Carry Interface Builder's Uses Ruler setting into cibs
nib2cib ignored the text view's Uses Ruler setting, and CPTextView, CPRulerView and CPRulerMarker archived none of their ruler state, so a ruler could not be configured in Interface Builder or survive archiving.

* CPScrollView.j: Set itself as the scroll view of decoded rulers.

* CPTextView/CPRulerMarker.j: Archive the marker's ruler, location, image and image origin, movability, removability and represented object.

* CPTextView/CPRulerView.j: Archive the ruler's orientation, client view, accessory view, markers, thicknesses, origin offset and measurement units.

* CPTextView/CPTextView.j: Archive usesRuler.

* Tools/nib2cib/NSTextView.j, Tools/nib2cib/NSTextViewSharedData.j: Read the Uses Ruler flag.

* Tests/AppKit/CPRulerViewTest.j: Add tests for ruler layout, measurement units, archiving and the Uses Ruler setting.

* Tests/Manual/TextEditor/Resources/MainMenu.xib, Resources/MainMenu.cib: Add the standard Format menu, whose Text submenu shows and hides the ruler.

* Tests/Manual/TextEditor/Resources/DocumentWindow.xib, Resources/DocumentWindow.cib: Rebuild the cib with the ruler setting, and adjust the window's initial position.

David Richardson 00851abfa9 AppKit: Model CPRulerView and CPRulerMarker on NSRulerView and NSRulerMarker
Ruler classes departed from canonical NS versions, resulting in functional and visual gaps.:

markers were views that drew text characters and ignored their location argument, the ruler rebuilt its subviews on every update and had no origin offset, measurement units or reserved thicknesses, and CPTextView updated the ruler only on focus and typing attribute changes, had no ruler control methods, and never showed a right indent marker.

* AppKit.j: Import CPRulerMarker and CPRulerView.

* CPScrollView.j: Tile rulers by their required thickness, and give a ruler its scroll view when it is set.

* CPTextView/CPRulerMarker.j: Add CPRulerMarker as an object drawn by its ruler, with a marker location, an image and image origin, movability and removability, and tracking that adds, moves and removes markers through the client view.

* CPTextView/CPRulerView.j: Rewrite CPRulerView with an origin offset, registered measurement units defaulting to the user's region, reserved thicknesses for markers and an accessory view, Cocoa's client view methods, temporary ruler lines, and drawing in a single pass.

* CPTextView/CPTextView.j: Add usesRuler, isRulerVisible, setRulerVisible: and toggleRuler: with a Show Ruler or Hide Ruler title; update the ruler on every selection change; place tab stop, first line, head and tail indent markers relative to the start of the text, with SVG marker images and a context menu for changing tab types and resetting indents.

* Tests/Manual/TextEditor/DocumentWindowController.j: Show the ruler through setRulerVisible:.

David Richardson 203bf38b21 AppKit: Size vertical scrollers by scroller style in CPScrollView
CPScrollView's frame and content size calculations sized the vertical scroller with scrollerWidthForControlSize:, passing a scroller style, so it always took the legacy width.

* CPScrollView: Use scrollerWidthInStyle: for the vertical scroller in +contentSizeForFrameSize:… and +frameSizeForContentSize:….
* CPScrollViewTest: Add tests for both methods with a scroller whose widths differ by style.

cacaodev fd3acc456d FIXED: Before this commit, CPScrollerView was not correctly differentiating the scroller-width attribute (#2740)
between the vertical scroller and the horizontal scroller.
The scroller width was picked from a common CPScroller instance cached in CPScroller.
The bug was not visible because the method -_adjustScrollerSize was correcting the size repeatidly in the layout pass.
This was causing unnecessary calls to setFrame: in a performance sensitive method (triggered by scroll events).
The ScrollView is now picking the right width from the theme and a setFrame: call is skipped.

Tests: Manual/CPScrollView2/

TODO : The _adjustScrollerSize method should be enabled with a flag only when a width change is explicitely requested.

Alexander Ljungberg 07c0de71ec New: support line-by-line scrolling with old scroll wheel devices in Firefox.
Without this change, using a traditional scroll wheel mouse with discrete steps would result in very slow scrolling in Firefox.

With this fix we handle these events like in Cocoa: as "[im]preciseScrollingDeltas", which `CPScrollView` in turn knows to apply the configurable line scroll amount for. For backwards compatibility, [event deltaX] and [event deltaY] are premultiplied with a suitable constant, while [event scrollingDeltaX] and [event scrollingDeltaY] show the true values needed.

Browsers other than Firefox seem to always send pixel scrolling information even for old style scrolling devices, at least on the Mac, so are not affected by this change.

Fixes #2013.

Aparajita Fishman d8281a6e22 Fixed: simplified the overlay scroller test, documented the technique.
Previously the inner element's offsetWidth was tested before and after setting the overflow to scroll. This is unnecessary, we can just set the overflow to scroll and test the outer element's clientWidth vs. offsetWidth. By definition, clientWidth does not include scrollbars, whereas offsetWidth does. So if they are equal then overlay scrollers must be in use.

Note that FireFox (as of version 22) does not support overlay scrollers, so even if the system does, Cappuccino will not on FireFox unless the programmer forces overlay scrollers.

Aparajita Fishman afd5925499 Fixed: _CG and _CP macros were confusing and could degrade performance
Previously, Cappuccino was using preprocessor macros internally for the CGPoint/Size/Rect/Inset/Affine functions, as well as for CPRange. These macros had the same name as the corresponding function, but began with _. The functions were actually defined using the macros.

The motivation behind using macros was to increase performance by reducing function calls. However, there were a number of problems with this approach:

- There was an artificial dichotomy between _CG macros and the corresponding CG functions. We never completely replaced CG function calls with _CG macros. In fact, they were often mixed up in the same file. There was an extra burden on the programmer to remember to use the macro instead of the function.
- If a method call was passed as an argument to a macro, performance could actually be significantly *worse* than a function call. For example, _CGGetRectMakeCopy([view frame]) would expand to `{ origin:{ x:[view frame].origin.x, y:[view frame].origin.y }, size:{ width:[view frame].size.width, height:[view frame].size.height } }`. So instead of a single objj_msgSend and a single simple function call, we ended up with 4 objj_msgSend calls, which are way more expensive than simple function calls.
- Because of this expansion problem, to use macros efficiently required us to remember to use variables for all macro parameters. This didn't happen, and shouldn't have to happen.
- Finally, with modern Javascript engines, function call overhead is so small that it really isn't worth using the macros.

This commit eliminates the _CGGeometry, CGAffineTransformation and CPRange macros and replaces them with function calls.

BREAKING CHANGE:
The macros are no longer available. They could only be used with compiled code, but if there is any user code that used them, they will have to be replaced with the corresponding functions.
