0.18.1 is out, but not in the PPA yet.

PPA is deprecated. They distribute as snap package now:

Wondering if Chef has a Snap resource (or official cookbook that provides one).

They added it in Chef 15 (https://docs.chef.io/resource_snap_package.html), but I can't find a cookbook for it on Supermarket, it looks like they implemented it straight into Chef

Took me a while to figure out how snap packages work exactly, but I finally got 0.18.1 running on Andromeda now.

I'll open a PR for a new bitcoin cookbook I have lying around here soon-ish.
