# Installation

Install the gem and add to the application's Gemfile by executing:

```shell
bundle add nostr
```

If bundler is not being used to manage dependencies, install the gem by executing:

```shell
gem install nostr
```

## Requiring the gem

All examples in this guide assume that the gem has been required:

```ruby
require 'nostr'
```
