As we use LDAP for Gitea now, and we can create contributor profiles for Kosmos accounts from LDAP (signups or logins) instead, I think this issue is not relevant anymore.

Changed my mind. We can use Gitea's OAuth for now, so we don't have to implement our own only to support non-GitHub signups.
