The default signing relay has been offline for weeks now. Aside from taking it offline without any proper announcements, so the most popular relay choice not necessarily being a reliable one (i.e. set up our own), the app should deal with this better than with indefinite signing spinners.

  • Have a reasonable timeout for signing requests and spinner
  • Tell the user that remote signing is unavailable, and ideally why
  • Offer an alternative method (i.e. reconnect via another relay that's online)
