We already load photo events while panning around on the map (via partial geohash prefixes).

We could also warm the OSM cache for the respective places and render (more discreet) markers for them on the map so they can be discovered easily, without relying on followed pubkeys or similar mechanisms. Once we have reviews, we can then also show/recommend just the places with good reviews (factoring in trust scores).

There should be a setting/preference to disable this if someone doesn't care about photos or reviews.
