Problem

db/seeds.rb still did require 'sidekiq/testing' and wrapped seeding in Sidekiq::Testing.inline!, but Sidekiq was removed from the bundle in the Solid Queue migration. rails db:setup therefore aborted with:

LoadError: cannot load such file -- sidekiq/testing

Fix

Run the jobs triggered while seeding inline via Active Job (ActiveJob::Base.queue_adapter = :inline), restoring the previous behavior with the adapter the app actually uses.

Notes

  • Prerequisite for the Docker Compose bootstrap PR, which runs db:setup.
  • CI does not load seeds, so this is CI-neutral.
