The profile manager is usually a bot that can also auth users against external sources to prevent spam and integrate with existing Web services. (For us, that's currently hal8000 with hubot-kredits.)

@bumi @hueso Any chance someone could have a look here soon? This is the only thing preventing us from having working signups on the current web app again.

There is also https://github.com/67P/kredits-web/pull/214 which considerably improves the whole wallet connect situation, as well as ensures that the signup cannot fail silently.
