For private lists and list management, the lists could just be documents containing paths of the place documents. When publishing a list, the client could then compile the actual data from the place documents into the public document.

Create/initialize default lists (want to go, to do)
Add/remove places to/from default lists
Remove place from all lists when place is deleted
Create/delete custom lists
Add places to custom lists
