Ideally, these are just public HTTP resources, maybe a single GeoJSON file or similar.

The actual transport can then be flexible: share list URLs directly, publish via AP or Nostr, so people can follow them, etc.

Also, other apps that are using completely different storage formats or layouts could produce the same shared list files, so you can share between apps that aren't compatible on the storage layer.
